Fans of The Five-Star Weekend will soon be able to dive deeper into the story’s television adaptation through a new companion podcast hosted by Elin Hilderbrand herself.
The eight-episode podcast will launch alongside the Peacock adaptation of The Five-Star Weekend on July 9. New podcast episodes will be released weekly and will correspond to episodes of the series, giving viewers behind-the-scenes insights into how the bestselling novel was adapted for television.
Hilderbrand will interview cast members and creators, including Jennifer Garner, Regina Hall, D’Arcy Carden, Chloë Sevigny, Gemma Chan, and series creator Bekah Brunstetter.
The story follows Hollis Shaw, a successful food influencer whose life is upended by tragedy. Seeking healing and reconnection, she invites four friends from different periods of her life to spend a transformative weekend together at her home on Nantucket.
Hilderbrand is already familiar to podcast listeners through her book-focused show, Books, Beach & Beyond, making her a natural guide for fans interested in the adaptation process.
For readers who loved the novel, the companion podcast promises a closer look at the cast, creative decisions, and the journey from page to screen.
