Drake has paid tribute to longtime collaborator Tay Keith following the Grammy-nominated producer’s death at age 29.
In an Instagram post, Drake shared photos of Tay Keith and wrote that he had “eternal gratitude” for the producer’s contributions to his career and to hip-hop. He reflected on the music they created together and expressed love and respect for his late friend and collaborator.
Tay Keith, whose real name was Brytavious Chambers, was one of the most influential producers of the past decade. He worked on major hits including Nonstop, Look Alive, and Sicko Mode. His production style and signature producer tag became widely recognized across hip-hop.
Authorities said Keith was found dead in his apartment in Nashville during a welfare check. Police reported that no foul play is suspected, and the official cause of death has not yet been determined pending autopsy results.
Following the news, numerous artists—including Sexyy Red and other collaborators—shared tributes honoring Keith’s impact on music and the people around him.
At the time of his death, Tay Keith was widely regarded as one of the defining producers of modern rap, with credits alongside artists such as Drake, Travis Scott, Beyoncé, and 21 Savage.
