Kelsey Grammer says he is open to running for political office in the future, though he has not announced a campaign or specified what office he might seek.
In a June 2026 interview, the Frasier star said, “I would consider it,” explaining that public service could be a way to contribute to his country. He added that he has “wrestled with” the idea for years but is currently focused on his young family and does not want to be an absentee father. Even so, he suggested that he may eventually “throw [his] hat in the ring in some way.”
Grammer, 71, has long been politically active and is a Republican. Over the years, he has spoken about politics, supported conservative candidates, and previously expressed interest in public office, including discussions about potentially running in New York City.
The comments come as Grammer has been promoting patriotic and historical projects, including a Fox Nation documentary series focused on the American Revolution and a nonprofit initiative aimed at encouraging civic engagement and patriotism.
At this stage, there is no formal campaign, fundraising effort, or announcement—only an indication that Grammer is seriously considering a political run at some point in the future.
